Delphine seeks to emulate common advertising, through contrast (historic and typographic), and the clever addition of discrete commercial messages in various, and unexpected situations. It is not about selling anymore, but about surprising, entertaining and opening new possibilities and performances. It is a question of explaining these slogans
in other contexts in order to draw our attention to them, and to change their meanings. These messages manifest themselves in diverse places, in wild and unexpected displays, across various media.
Born in Marseille, Delphine Perrot trained at the public Art schools of Paris. As a Europe-wide experienced graphic designer she has specialised in print & creative realisations. Delphine has completed arts and culture orientated projects within the publishing, signage and graphic design fields. She has also produced artistic installations, including work for the Design Week 2008 show ‘Nothing works’, ‘Affluenza’: a collective exhibition about the Oliver James’ bookseller, the ‘Apollo’ project (Hern Hill) and the ‘Surface Gallery’ (Nottingham). She was also a part of the ‘Bigger picture’, The Bigger Picture is a creative series of activities and events beginning in autumn 2009 and curated by nef (the new economics foundation) in response to current crises.
